Hi TM1 and Planning Analytics community. It is Bryan from Cubewise. This version of Planning Analytics Workspace 2.0.100, also known as 2.1.7, was released on December 11, 2024 and includes these new features. Before upgrading to this version, you must take an important step if you are using Workspace locally because there is a new version of MongoDB. Therefore, you must back up your content and restore it afterwards. Skipping these steps will result in missing assets like books and other critical data.

Okay, let’s look at what’s new in books and reporting. Introducing Charts Insights, your AI powered companion for smarter data interpretation. This exciting new feature delivers clear summaries and key points, helping you quickly unlock the story behind your charts. Currently available in English and exclusively in Planning Analytics Workspace Cloud. Charts Insights supports chart types like area, pie and waterfall. And Please note, to use Charts Insights, a separate licence is required from the standard Planning Analytics Workspace licence.

Next is what’s new in Plans and Applications. The My Tasks tab on the home page streamlines task management by organising current and completed tasks into three sections. Task Summary offers an overview of pending and completed tasks with tools that include search, filter and adjust date ranges to do lists tasks that require action and provides details such as due dates, task names and assignees. Done tracks completed tasks showing details such as approval status, approvers and any comments or descriptions.

Lastly, let’s look at what’s new in Modelling. You can easily start or stop performance monitoring for your database directly from the database tree when enabled. The stats control cubes capture minute-by-minute insights on chores, clients, cubes, and more, all with minimal resource impact. Simplify code management and find what you need faster with Search Code. This allows you to search within processes and rules. The index value is now available in the Dimension editor, which determines the order of elements.

This property can be shown by going to View Options or display the property as the default in Profile and Settings. Here are three enhanced security and operational features for Drive Explorer. Secure file transfers now supports private keys and passphrases. Simply toggle the private key option in the Remote Environment tab to configure. Inline notifications now let you cancel ongoing operations in real time. Locked files are skipped when performing a copy, move, delete or compression, so the operation continues with minor errors without stopping.

The latest enhancements to the transaction log include unlimited log entries so that you can scroll to view more entries without limits. Therefore, the maximum entries option is no longer needed. Download completes query results and there is a notification to track progress. Filter searches by prior or new values by time period or by specific users, and you can select multiple log entries by holding the shift key. That wraps up the updates on IBM Planning Analytics Workspace.
