The latest release of Planning Analytics for Excel version 2.0.99 (2.1.6) on 22 October 2024 introduces universal report static for an improved user experience. It’s a hierarchy-aware report that does not require MDX knowledge, allowing users to edit layouts directly by typing over element names. Additionally, a context menu option enables the addition of spacers in rows or columns, and the report will automatically expand to include new elements as they are detected.

Here is the latest updates on Planning Analytics for Excel for version 2.0.99, also known as 2.1.6, released on October 22, 2024. A Universal Report Static layout has been added to enhance user experience with simplified features, which is hierarchy-aware. It has been simplified so that users don’t need to know MDX to modify the layout. You can change the data by simply typing over the element name from the header, row or column.
You can add a spacer on the row or column around the body or within the report using the insert option from the context menu, and the report definition will automatically expand when it detects a new element. And that wraps up the update on IBM Planning Analytics for Excel.
