Administrator

This course is designed for administrators to gain the essential skills to manage, configure and optimise IBM Planning Analytics (TM1) environments.

      Advanced MDX

      This course is a deep dive into MDX (MultiDimension eXpression), a language used to query the TM1 Server for extracting data and structure. Understanding how to read and write MDX will enable you to enhance Excel reports beyond the standard Dynamic Report export. It would also put you on the right step to learning TM1py since understanding MDX is fundamental.

          Advanced Rules

          This course is a deep dive into writing Rules, a formula-driven language that applies business logic to Cubes. By the end of this course, you will gain more confidence in writing arithmetic formulas to formulas with multi-cube logic. You will also learn why the TM1 Server is appreciated for its ability to handle data sparsity and how to manage this powerful feature.

              Advanced TurboIntegrator

              This course is a deep dive into utilising the TurboIntegrator (TI), a tool for importing data, manipulating objects like dimensions and modifying data to apply business logic. By the end of this course, you will gain more confidence in utilising TI on the TM1 Server.

                  AI Integration with watsonx.ai

                  This course shows you how to unlock the power of watsonx.ai by connecting it directly to your IBM Planning Analytics environment. Learn how to harness advanced AI models to enhance decision-making, automate processes, and drive new insights — securely and at scale.

                      Apliqo UX – Basic Training

                      Scenario-based course walking users through dashboard building, cube viewer setup, messaging features, and TI process integration.

                          Apliqo UX – Developers & Administrators

                          Technical course for developers and admins focused on customising Apliqo UX via HTML snippets, wizard scripting, and automating processes with the Task Scheduler.

                              Apliqo UX – Power User: Advanced

                              Takes the skills from Fundamentals further with subset logic, MDX, attribute-driven formatting, advanced tables, and process automation.

                                  Apliqo UX – Power User: Fundamentals

                                  For power users and developers — focuses on building dashboards, configuring widgets and views, creating wizards, and applying UI logic.

                                      Custom Report / Slice

                                      This course is deep dive into the most customisable reporting type, Custom Report (IBM Planning Analytics for Excel) / Slice (Perspectives and Slice). You will learn to set up your own reports with graphs and how to implement and Action Button. Despite the different terminology, they are the same reporting type.

                                          Developer Fundamentals

                                          This is the first course for those who want to be a Developer. The Developer Fundamentals course will teach the tools needed for dimension building, cube design, data loading and writing business logic. This course will also benefit end users who want to understand the logic used to develop the model for transparency and integrity.

                                              Dynamic Report / Active Forms

                                              This course is deep dive into the most formative reporting type, Dynamic Report (IBM Planning Analytics for Excel) / Active Forms (Perspectives and Slice). You will learn to manipulate this unique report that gives users the ability to expand and collapse rows. Despite the different terminology, they are the same reporting type.

                                                  End User (Perspectives)

                                                  Perspectives is an Excel add-in that allows you to display and update values from a TM1 database using cell-based functions. In this course, learn how to use Perspectives efficiently to build Excel spreadsheets.

                                                      End User (Planning Analytics for Excel)

                                                      Planning Analytics for Excel (PAfE) is an Excel add-in that allows you to display and update values from a TM1 database using cell-based functions. In this course, learn how to use PAfE efficiently to build Excel spreadsheets.

                                                          End User (Planning Analytics Workspace)

                                                          Planning Analytics Workspace is a web-based application that provides data visualisation capabilities and advanced planning functionalities. In this course, you will learn important end-user features covering data interrogation, data manipulation, importing data and building a dashboard from scratch.

                                                              End User (Slice)

                                                              Slice is an Excel add-in that allows you to display and update values from a TM1 database using cell-based functions. In this course, learn the fundamentals to begin utilising Slice to build Excel spreadsheets.

                                                                  Exploration and Quick Report

                                                                  This course is a deep dive on the Exploration view and Quick Report available in IBM Planning Analytics for Excel (PAfE). An Exploration provides the flexibility to quickly change the view to show detailed information from the TM1 Server. The Quick Report can combine data from multiple sources and enhance it using Excel formulas, formats and cell references.

                                                                      MDX Fundamentals

                                                                      When retrieving a list of members in a dimension or analysing cube data, IBM Planning Analytics utilises the language Multidimensional Expressions (MDX) to query the TM1 Server. There is an advantage in understanding how to read and write MDX for end users, as it will provide extra controls to enhance report building in Excel and dashboards in Workspace.
