Cubewise has partnered with DeakinCo., a subsidiary of Deakin University in Australia, to ensure the University-level rigour and integrity that exists behind the Credential.
DeakinCo.’s review of the Cubewise Credential assessment process indicates that it is a valid and reliable approach, and that this process aligns to the broad requirements of the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF), Australia’s national regulation framework for Australian education and training.
PUBLIC PROOF OF CAPABILITY
Credentialed TM1 Developers will be issued a Digital Badge so you can easily share your proven skills levels on LinkedIn, employer talent management systems, e-portfolios and other social networks.
How is the Credential structured?
All candidates receive a Windows virtual server with TM1 pre-installed and 48 hours to complete a real-world development task. The credential can be done from home.
The model developed by the candidate will be marked by a lead assessor verified by DeakinCo and Cubewise EDU.
An online video interview will follow to complete the assessment.
Successful candidates will be awarded a digital badge.
How is the Credential different to IBM’s certification?
Rather than testing your knowledge through multiple choice tests, the Credential tests the developer’s ability to apply their knowledge to build a quality TM1 model from scratch, based on a set of well-written requirements.
The candidate will be asked to create cubes and dimensions, write rules, prove his or her ability to apply Turbo Integrator, set chores and develop a user interface.
Am I eligible to do the Credential?
The Credential is open to everyone worldwide.
It is recommended that the candidate have experience in developing real-world TM1 models.
How much does it cost to do the Credential?
Credential is USD $400
Credential and Practice Test with feedback is USD $600
Practice Test with feedback is USD $300
All prices exclude tax
What do I get with the practice test?
You’ll be provided a scope of work with the requirement to create a TM1 model. A working TM1 model, developed to the specification, will also be provided on the remote server environment. This package includes 7 consecutive days of remote server usage and detailed feedback.
What do I need to know for the Credential?
It is recommended that you:
– know very basic SQL knowledge
– know how to write inter and intra Cube rules
– know how to write Turbo Integrator processes using advanced tabs
– know how to write time-related rules for forecasting
– know how to setup TM1 security
– know how to setup TM1 chores
– know how to use Active Forms and Action Buttons
– know how to use TM1 Applications folder
– have developed TM1 models in a real-world environment
How do I prepare for the Credential?
If you have already developed multiple TM1 models that cover the above topics, then maybe all you need to do to verify your skills in the market is to take the Credential test.
If you feel you may have gaps in knowledge, then you can either look into Cubewise EDU’s training options at http://cubewise.com/edu/#tm1-developer or take the practice test which comes with mentoring to provide guidance.
